Abu dhabi: Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee at the Federal National Council (FNC), recently met with Anne Slack, Political Counsellor at the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi, along with other embassy officials. The meeting aimed at strengthening parliamentary cooperation between the UAE and the US.
According to Emirates News Agency, the discussions reaffirmed the strong bilateral relations and strategic partnership between the UAE and the US, which have been established for over five decades. Both sides acknowledged the rapid development of cooperation across various sectors, including economy, investment, energy, defence, and security. These efforts align with the aspirations of the leadership and peoples of both nations, serving their mutual interests.
The meeting also addressed the latest political developments both regionally and globally. The UAE and US officials discussed their joint efforts to advance development, peace, and stability at regional and international levels.
The two sides highlighted the importance of enhancing parliamentary cooperation through parliamentary diplomacy.
