FNC Official Meets Head of Abraham Accords Network in European Parliament

Strasbourg: Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee at the Federal National Council (FNC), has engaged in a significant meeting with Lukas Mandl, Member of the European Parliament and Head of the Abraham Accords Network in the European Parliament. The meeting took place at the European Parliament headquarters in Strasbourg and aimed at bolstering parliamentary cooperation and exchanging perspectives on mutual interests, particularly in enhancing peace, stability, tolerance, and dialogue among various peoples and cultures.

According to Emirates News Agency, Al Nuaimi emphasized the UAE's unwavering approach towards promoting moderation, openness, and dialogue among religions and cultures. He highlighted that peace and coexistence are vital foundations for development, stability, and prosperity. Al Nuaimi pointed out that the Abraham Accords have played a crucial role in strengthening dialogue and trust among peoples, while also opening new avenues for economic development and cultural cooperation, thus supporting regional stability and prosperity.

Al Nuaimi further stressed the need for intensified international efforts to combat extremism, hate speech, and the misuse of religion for political and ideological purposes. He underscored the significance of investing in education and culture as a fundamental pillar in creating more stable and open societies. Additionally, Al Nuaimi highlighted the importance of enhancing international partnerships and parliamentary cooperation to back initiatives that promote human coexistence and contribute to both regional and global security and stability.

Mandl commended the UAE for its leading role in supporting peace, stability, and promoting tolerance and dialogue among peoples. He emphasized the necessity of continued joint efforts to support initiatives that advance coexistence and stability on both regional and global scales.
