The seventh week of the Esports World Cup, the largest event in the history of the gaming and esports industry, featured intense competition across three thrilling tournaments: Starcraft, Call of Duty Modern Warfare and EA FC 24.
Team Liquid clinched the Starcraft tournament title through its French player Clem. This victory came as a big surprise, as Clem managed to defeat the favored Finnish player, Serral. The win propelled the French team to the second position in the overall standings of the World Cup and earned it 1,000 points and the first-place prize of $400,000.
In an all-American final, Atlanta FaZe emerged victorious in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare tournament, defeating 100 Thieves 4-2 and claiming the $600,000 prize. Atlanta FaZe’s player Cellium was awarded an extra $50,000 for earning the tournament’s MVP title.
