Fujairah:H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, received Leonid Mikhelson, Chairman of the Russian company Novatek, along with his accompanying delegation at Al Rumailah Palace. The meeting focused on the discussion of development projects within the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ) and plans to further enhance the zone's operational and investment capabilities.

According to Emirates News Agency, the discussions highlighted the importance of strengthening UAE-Russia cooperation in the energy sector and related industries. Sheikh Hamad emphasized the UAE's approach to building strategic partnerships and expanding international cooperation to capitalize on economic opportunities and exchange expertise.

The cooperative efforts aim to position Fujairah as a strategic hub for the trade and storage of petroleum products, thereby contributing to sustainable development and advancing shared interests. The meeting was attended by key officials including Mohammed Saeed Al Dhanhani, Director of the Fujairah Emiri Court; Mohammed Al Afkham, Director General of Fujairah Municipality; and Salem Al Afkham, Director of the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ).
