Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Al-Budaiwi asserted Thursday on the strong bonds of relations between the council and Iraq and the importance of strengthening them in all fields.
A statement by the GCC general secretariat office said that the remarks were made during a meeting between Al-Budaiwi and Iraq Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Safia Al-Souhail.
The two sides also tackled various issues of common concerns and ways to bolster relations in various areas.
According to the statement, the two sides also reviewed the joint action plan for the 2019-24, which involved a power grid project.
