GCC Condemns Attempted Vandalism of UAE Embassy in Syria

Abu dhabi: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) strongly condemned the riots, assaults, and attempted property damage targeting the embassy of the United Arab Emirates and the residence of its head of mission in Damascus, Syria: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has issued a strong condemnation of the recent attacks on the UAE embassy and its head of mission's residence in Damascus. The incidents involved riots, assaults, and attempts to vandalize the property.

According to Emirates News Agency, GCC Secretary-General Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi emphasized the necessity for Syrian authorities to hold accountable those responsible for the attacks and the disrespect shown toward UAE national symbols. He urged for immediate action to ensure the perpetrators face consequences for their actions.

Al Budaiwi also called for enhanced protection measures for diplomatic buildings and embassy personnel, stressing the importance of adhering to conventions and protocols that govern diplomatic work.
