Riyadh, Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi discussed the latest developments of the situation in Gaza with a delegation from the European Parliament headed by Chair of the Delegation for Relations with the Arab Peninsula Hannah Neumann.
During the meeting, Gulf-European relations were also discussed, in addition to exchanging views on various international issues and developments of common interest.
The GCC Secretary-General stressed the firm position of the GCC countries rejecting the serious Israeli violations in the Gaza Strip, its direct and continuous targeting of innocent lives, and the necessity of an immediate ceasefire.
He called for the necessity of ensuring corridors for the necessary humanitarian and medical aid, emphasizing the categorical rejection of any calls to forcibly displace the Palestinian people from Gaza, as this represents a violation of basic human rights and international principles.
