Dubai:The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs - Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) has been awarded the Best Employee Wellbeing Programme accolade at the Future Workplace Awards 2026 for its 'Happiest Work Environment' initiative.
According to Wam, this achievement highlights the Directorate's advancements in creating a supportive institutional work environment that prioritizes employee wellbeing, quality of work life, and a people-centric workplace culture. The award was presented to GDRFA Dubai during the Future Workplace Awards 2026 ceremony held in Dubai, following a competitive assessment in the Best Employee Wellbeing Programme category, which included seven shortlisted initiatives from various sectors.
The Future Workplace Awards, established in 2012, celebrate excellence in human resources management and workplace development across the Middle East. The 2026 edition saw over 450 entries across 22 categories, evaluated by a panel of more than 20 judges. The Best Employee Wellbeing Programme category acknowledges comprehensive programs promoting employees' physical, mental, emotional, and financial wellbeing, evidencing measurable improvements in employee experience and satisfaction.
Major General Awadh Mohammed Al Awaim, Assistant Director-General for Human Resources and Finance at GDRFA Dubai, stated that the recognition embodies the UAE's vision and Dubai's strategic approach to investing in human capital as a foundation for development and institutional excellence. He stressed that fostering a happy and motivating workplace is integral to government performance, forming a core foundation for its success and sustainability.
He further elaborated that winning the award for the 'Happiest Work Environment' initiative underscores GDRFA Dubai's dedication to cultivating an institutional culture where employee appreciation and recognition are crucial to the workplace. The initiative focuses on enhancing employee wellbeing, job satisfaction, and organizational belonging while promoting creativity, innovation, and active participation in workplace development.
