GEA Obtains Certificate of Compliance with International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing with Highest Rating

The General Entertainment Authority (GEA), represented by the General Department of Internal Audit, has obtained a certificate of compliance with International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing with a “general consensus” rating, which is the highest rating.

The certificate is part of the external quality assessment program for compliance with the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF), which promotes GEA as the first Saudi government agency to obtain this certificate.

The evaluation was conducted by the Saudi Institute of Internal Auditors, a specialized professional body affiliated with the Institute of Internal Auditors Global (IIA).

The evaluation process included aspects such as the principles of professional ethics, the basic principles of internal auditing, the definition of internal auditing, and the international standards for the practice of the internal auditing profession.

GEA’s attainment of the highest rating results from the authority’s internal audit contributions to strengthening governance, risk management, and oversight, which raised the efficiency of the internal audit field to the highest international standards and practices.
