Gold Prices Stabilize Ahead of US Payrolls Data Amid Weekly Decline

Abu Dhabi:Spot gold prices remained mostly unchanged on Friday, although they are set to experience a second consecutive weekly decline. This trend is influenced by a stronger US dollar and increased Treasury yields, as investors anticipate key US payrolls data for insights into the Federal Reserve's future policy decisions.

According to Emirates News Agency, spot gold was priced at $4,184.45 per ounce by 0419 GMT, reflecting a decrease of more than 2 percent for the week. Meanwhile, US gold futures saw a slight rise of 0.3 percent, reaching $4,214.70.

Other precious metals also experienced movements, with spot silver climbing 0.5 percent to $61.18, platinum increasing 0.6 percent to $1,734.44, and palladium rising 0.9 percent to $1,181.93. Despite these gains, all three metals are on track for weekly losses.
