Gold Prices Stabilize Amid Anticipation of US Jobs Data

Gold prices stabilized Friday, near the highest level in a week, and are heading to record slight weekly gains thanks to the decline of the dollar, as traders await US jobs data.

Gold stabilized in spot transactions at USD 2,517 per ounce, after recording a one-week high of USD 2,523.29 in the previous session, and gold rose 0.6 percent during the week.

In turn, US gold futures rose 0.2 percent to USD 2,547.10.

As for other precious metals, silver in spot transactions fell 0.2 percent to USD 28.76 per ounce, while platinum rose 0.5 percent to USD 929.10 and palladium fell about 0.4 percent to USD 937.50, heading to record a weekly loss. (QNA)
