Bayda Governor Abdullah Idris met on Monday with Deputy Director of the Social Fund for Development Branch in Dhamar and Bayda Adnan al-Najhi to discuss the Fund’s projects for 2024 in the province.
During the meeting, Governor Idris affirmed the local authority’s readiness to facilitate the work of the Fund, as well as other organizations and institutions operating in the governorate, to ensure they can provide services that meet the needs of citizens in all districts.
The governor highlighted the importance of combining official and community efforts to overcome challenges imposed by the aggression and siege.
He noted the Fund’s plan, which focuses on projects in agriculture, irrigation, water, and institutional building, based on studies prepared by relevant authorities.
Governor Idris emphasized the local authority’s interest in facilitating the Fund’s work, particularly the implementation of the Bayda City Water Project and the completion of the sewage network expansion project in Al-Shariyah neighbo
rhood.
Deputy Director Al-Najhi reviewed the progress of service projects implemented by the Social Fund for Development in the governorate’s districts, which include 20 projects with a total cost of $11,993,000.
