Hamdan Bin Mohammed Calls for Enhanced Support for Private Sector Growth in Dubai


Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has urged government entities to bolster their efforts in supporting private sector growth as part of Dubai’s economic development strategy. This directive was issued during the Dubai Majlis, co-hosted by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and Dubai Chambers at Qasr Al Bahr, which brought together 260 attendees from both the private and public sectors.



According to Emirates News Agency, the event, which emphasized collaboration, sought to encourage businesses to identify and share opportunities to drive economic development in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33. H.H. Sheikh Hamdan stressed the importance of agility in adapting to global trends and technological advancements, highlighting the need for active engagement with businesses to identify growth opportunities.



Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, noted the significance of the Dubai Majlis as a platform for meaningful discussions that help shape strategic priorities and actions. He emphasized the importance of partnership between government and businesses in achieving collective progress.



Helal Saeed Almarri, Director-General of DET, echoed the sentiment of strategic synergy between the public and private sectors, emphasizing the Dubai Majlis as a vital tool for driving growth and competitiveness. Hadi Badri, CEO of the Dubai Economic Development Corporation, highlighted the importance of aligning public and private sector leaders to advance the objectives of the D33 Agenda.



The Dubai Majlis featured roundtable sessions and presentations discussing 20 key topics, all aimed at accelerating Dubai’s growth. Participants engaged in dialogues reflecting on economic achievements and the foundations laid for further growth. Key outcomes included actionable plans to support the D33 Agenda’s strategic priorities, ensuring Dubai’s position as a leading global economic hub.
