Al ain: H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Ain Region, has visited Al Sarooj Park to review its facilities following a comprehensive redevelopment and rehabilitation programme implemented by Al Ain City Municipality. This initiative is part of efforts to enhance community facilities and infrastructure aimed at improving the quality of life.

According to Emirates News Agency, during the visit, H.H. Sheikh Hazza toured the park's key facilities, including the community market Souq Sabie. The market supports local social and economic activities and plays a role in revitalising commercial activity within public spaces by strengthening productive family projects.

Sheikh Hazza was also briefed on the latest developments of the Street Furniture project. This initiative aims to unify the visual brand identity of service elements across roads and public spaces, such as seating, benches, and waiting shelters. The project aligns with Al Ain's urban and environmental character through unified designs that adhere to safety and quality standards, utilise sustainable materials, and enhance user experiences in public spaces.

H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasised the significance of developing parks and public facilities as a core aspect of urban planning, contributing to integrated neighbourhoods that cater to family needs in the Al Ain Region. He highlighted the importance of green spaces in promoting community wellbeing and healthy lifestyles.

Al Sarooj Park is equipped with facilities like areas for mobile camping vehicles, 60 barbecue areas, a children's play zone, a theatre, heritage seating areas, and a shaded walkway. Additionally, it features an artificial lake and a range of public facilities for visitors of all ages.

The visit also covered Al Sarooj's artificial lake, which spans 7,000 square metres, surrounded by seating areas and an illuminated walking path. The lake offers a recreational experience within natural surroundings and contributes to transforming Wadi Al Sarooj Forest into an eco-leisure destination.
