Higher Education Minister praises graduation projects of mechatronics engineering students

The first industrial ceremony for student graduation projects for the Mechatronics Engineering Department at the UAE University for the year 2022-2023 was held in Sana’a today,Wednesday, coinciding with the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday.

At the ceremony, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Hussein Hazeb, congratulated the students on their graduation and reaching the stage of joining the labor market to contribute to the construction and development process.

Minister Hazib stressed that the Ministry was able, in light of the aggression and siege, to transform difficulties into achievements by opening four public universities, eight private universities, and more than 96 academic programs.

While the University President, Dr. Nasser Al-Mofari, explained that the graduation projects include 13 innovative projects in the fields of industry, health, environment, and artificial intelligence, the most prominent of which is the design of a five-axis CNC machine to complete complex machines and equipment, an electric metal smelting furnace using automation, a 3D printer, and a machine paper recycling, an armored vehicle, a non-prick blood pressure and sugar monitoring system, an exploratory robot, and a coffee bean sorting and sifting machine.

In addition, the Minister of Higher Education, along with the Executive Director of the Information Technology Center and the President of the University, reviewed the graduation projects exhibition, and heard from the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Ibrahim Farea, and the students an explanation about the innovative projects.
