The public prosecution in Ibb Province released 275 prisoners and detainees in criminal cases on the Prophet’s Birthday occasion.

The head of the province’s appeal prosecution, Judge Abdulrahman al-Nazili, told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that 183 of the released prisoners were entitled to pardon for the remaining period of their prison sentences, and the necessary guarantees for those detained pending investigation, while 92 defendants were released from their places of detention and arrest pending cases with the prescribed guarantees.

He pointed out that these procedures were carried out during the field visit of the chief and deputy prosecutors to the central correctional facility, remand prisons and detention centers in the prosecution and security departments, which began early this spring, in implementation of the Attorney General directives , to inspect the conditions of prisoners and quickly dispose of cases and release those who can be released, on the Prophet’s Birthday occasion .
