Abu dhabi: The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) today launched the first edition of the Aviation Safety Transformation Summit 2025, bringing together a distinguished assembly of leaders and experts from esteemed international bodies. The summit is designed to foster meaningful dialogue on aviation safety standards and prepare the sector for forthcoming transformations.
According to Emirates News Agency, Ahmed Salim Saabri, Director of Aviation and Airports Safety at DCAA, highlighted that the two-day event, hosted by Dubai, marks a significant step in cementing the emirate’s status as a global hub for innovation in aviation. Saabri noted the impressive growth in drone operations in Dubai, with over 7,200 aircraft, and stated that more than 380 commercial aircraft companies are now registered, with a total of 2,400 aircraft, both commercial and non-commercial.
Saabri also addressed the dual nature of artificial intelligence, emphasizing the need for its responsible use and comprehensive verification before implementing it in aviation systems. He assured that the Authority is actively working to integrate modern technologies to enhance safety and mitigate risks.
The summit aims to provide a strategic platform for sharing valuable insights and experiences from international experts. It will also establish comprehensive frameworks to guide future policy-making. The event will feature certified training sessions, keynote addresses, interactive workshops, and the unveiling of pioneering initiatives in aviation safety.
