India floods kill 65

The death toll from floods and landslides caused by monsoon rains that hit parts of northern India has risen to at least 65, according to the India Press Agency. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu stated Tuesday that among the victims were 11 people who died in the collapse of a temple in Shimla, the regional capital, adding that the waters destroyed bridges and buildings and swept away vehicles and caused “significant” damage.
