A committee from the Ministry of Industry and Trade continues the work of evaluating the performance of the control teams and the inspection of commercial establishments in Hodeida province, regarding applying the reduced price list for essential commodities.

Head of the committee and Director General of Market Stability at the Ministry’s office Khaled al-Khawlani explained that the committee carried out a field visit on Monday to the secondary and popular markets in the districts of al-Hali and al-Mina to ensure the functioning of the supervisory side of the industry office in the province and the extent of implementation of the ministry’s directives regarding the reduced price list.

Al-Khawlani stressed that the ministry will not tolerate any manipulation of the prices of specific materials that have been officially circulated, calling on the field control teams in the province to play their role to the fullest extent to control the violators and raise their referral to legal and disciplinary procedures.

Al-Khawlani indicated that the committee will work, during the program of visiting the targeted districts in Hodeida, to overcome any difficulties that impede the progress of the oversight work in coordination with the local authority and the security services, in order to ensure the installation of the new price list and the control of violations.

He stated that the visit aims to inspect the supply situation and enhance the activity of the Industry Office and the concerned departments to carry out their duties without any complacency, as well as to inspect the extent of commitment to selling bread at the price and weight specified by the Ministry of Industry.
