Intensive preparations underway for 19th edition of ADIHEX

The Emirates Falconers’ Club (EFC) is gearing up to host the 19th edition of Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX 2022) from 26th September to 2nd October, 2022, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

With more than 680 specialist companies and brands from 44 countries participating in its 11 sectors and covering an area of 50,000 square metres, ADIHEX 2021 consolidated its high regional and international position. It is expected that the next edition (ADIHEX 2022) will be larger in terms of the number of exhibitors, countries, area, and features.

Arab and international media described ADIHEX as the largest event of its kind in the Middle East and Africa in terms of space, the number of exhibitors, and participants. They also considered it the world’s largest hunting and equestrian exhibition for public turnout. More than 1.75 million visitors have attended it since its launch, of whom 105,000 from 120 nationalities were present in the last edition. Most of these visitors are keen enthusiasts of heritage sports and activities, particularly falconry, equestrian, safari trips, camping, and different types of hunting. This success was achieved despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a survey by an international research institute concerned with the exhibition industry, 91 percent of exhibitors confirmed their participation in the next edition (ADIHEX 2022). Also, 92 percent confirmed they were satisfied/very satisfied with their participation in ADIHEX 2021, held last September. Also, their sales met their expectations from participating in the exhibition. They consider ADIHEX an important commercial event with very high sales potential.

Exhibitors stated that the most important reasons for participating at ADIHEX was finding new business opportunities and increasing direct sales, meeting new agents and partners, making deals, entering new markets, interacting with specialists in various industries, raising awareness of their brands and the goods and services they provide, and launching new innovative products.

In terms of visitors, 94 percent of the respondents expressed their satisfaction with the activities of ADIHEX, while 99 percent confirmed that it is a must-visit event. Also, 93 percent of hunting enthusiasts stated they intend to make purchases or make other deals with companies they visited at the exhibition in the coming months.

ADIHEX visitors were very satisfied with the number of offered products and services, and more than 80 activities and features organised during the seven days of the exhibition. They pointed out that this event is of great importance to Emirati culture, as it highlights the heritage of the Emirates and allows visitors from around the world to experience it. ADIHEX presented more than 120 workshops and hosted nearly 90 speakers and more than 800 delegates from falconry and sustainable hunting organisations and associations worldwide.

Majid Ali Al Mansouri, the Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee of ADIHEX, and the Secretary-General of the EFC, extended his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the UAE leaders for their support to ADIHEX, and to all local efforts that contribute to protecting Emirati and human heritage.

He thanked participants from inside and outside the UAE, including companies, exhibitors, sponsors, businessmen and visitors worldwide. He also praised the role of all media, especially the local ones, for the success of ADIHEX 2021, which exceeded expectations.
