IsDB President Attends National Development Council Meeting in Tajikistan

Dushanbe, Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) President Muhammad Al-Jasser participated on Tuesday in the Tajik national dialogue conference and the National Development Council (NDC) meeting in Tajikistan’s capital, Dushanbe.

The NDC saw the attendance of leaders and representatives of international organizations, development partners, heads of Tajik ministries, as well as relevant agencies in Tajikistan.

Al-Jasser underscored the IsDB’s commitment to supporting the crucial role played by Tajikistan in Central Asia through a strategic cooperation framework and a focus on leveraging the nation’s young talents, natural resources, and visionary leadership.

The IsDB Group’s support to Tajikistan has witnessed significant growth in recent years, covering 105 projects with a total value of US$915.5 million.

About 50% of the financing has been allocated to infrastructure projects, amounting to US$532 million, followed by education (16%) with a value of US$150 million, and agriculture (15%) with a value of US$136.4
million.
