Beijing: Dr. Jamal Sanad Al Suwaidi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR), signed his two latest publications at the UAE Pavilion during the 2026 Beijing International Book Fair. The publications include the Chinese edition of his book 'His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan: Insights into the Journey of a Man of Humanity' and the English edition of 'The Artificial Womb: A World Beyond Human Reproduction.' The event was part of the 'UAE House' pavilion, organized by the UAE Embassy in China and the Ministry of Culture.
According to Emirates News Agency, the United Arab Emirates is participating as the Guest of Honour at this year's fair, aiming to showcase its cultural and intellectual achievements through a series of joint cultural and artistic events with China. The exhibition features senior officials from culture, publishing, research, and think tanks from both nations. The book-signing ceremony was attended by Hussein Ibrahim Al Hammadi, UAE Ambassador to China; Mubarak Al Nakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture; Khalid Al Shahi, Deputy Head of Mission of the UAE in China; several Arab ambassadors, and other notable thinkers and intellectuals.
Dr. Jamal Al Suwaidi expressed his gratitude to the organizers and attendees, appreciating the excellent organization and hospitality. He praised the Beijing International Book Fair and highlighted China's publishing industry, especially in technology and artificial intelligence. He noted that the book fair is one of the largest in Asia and globally, serving as China's principal gateway for international engagement. He emphasized the strong relations between the UAE and China, marked by a strategic partnership and cultural growth.
