A Jordanian industrial delegation Saturday held talks with Saudi officials on prospects of expanding economic ties between the two countries, and also made sample displays to hypermarkets and retail stores in Riyadh and Jeddah.
President of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Fathi Jaghbir stressed the importance of forging closer ties between the Saudi and Jordanian private sectors to promote bilateral trade.
The visit, organized by the Amman Chamber of Industry, included a meeting with head of the Federation of Saudi Chambers Hassan Al-Huwaizi, which was attended by officials on both sides and tackled bolstering economic relations, especially as bilateral trade is focused on specific commodities and does not accommodate the diverse industrial sector in both countries, said Jaghbir.
Jordanian industrialists also met owners of hypermarkets and shopping centers in Riyadh, including Al-Othaim, Al-Hokair, Al-Tamimi, Al-Mazraa and Lulu, where they presented samples of Jordanian industries and discussed
their entry to the Saudi Kingdom.
In Jeddah, the industrial team met owners of shopping malls, such as Banda and Danube Markets, who expressed their interest in Jordanian products, said Jaghbir.
