The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has provided professional tools to 24 female trainees in sewing, embroidery, hairdressing, and beauty in Aden Governorate. This initiative is part of a project, in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities to the most vulnerable women and girls in Yemen.
The project aims to empower at-risk women and girls and build the capacity of those affected by gender-based violence. This is achieved by providing vocational and professional training programs, along with psychological, social, and protection services. The project will benefit 42,960 women in the governorates of Aden, Shabwah, Lahj, Al Mahrah, Marib, and Hadhramaut.
The initiative falls within the framework of programs and projects provided by Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, which aims to care for Yemeni women and girls comprehensively and provide for their basic needs.
