N’Djamena, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) yesterday distributed 1,831 food baskets in Beheira Governorate, Chad. The initiative, part of a project to support food security in Chad this year, benefited 10,986 individuals from the most neediest groups.
The project’s overall goal is to distribute 54,855 baskets, each weighing 65 kilograms, and containing basic foodstuffs. The distribution will benefit 121,530 individuals in the Regions of Ouaddai, Lake Chad, N’Djamena, Guera, Chari-Baguirmi, Batha, Hadjer-Lamis, Mayo-Kebbi Est, Kanem, and Logone Occidental.
The effort is part of the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment, through KSrelief, to meet the basic food needs of displaced and vulnerable families globally.
