The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, discussed with the commander of the Italian forces in Iraq and the region, Colonel Daniele Pisani, joint cooperation
During the meeting, which was attended by Colonel Stefano Salvadori, the new commander of the Italian forces in Iraq and the Kurdistan region, Barzani thanked the government of Italy for its support and assistance to the Kurdistan region, and he also wished the former commander success in his future mission, as well as congratulated the new commander of the Italian forces in Iraq and the region to take over his work.
The main axis of the meeting witnessed discussions on ways to strengthen relations between the Kurdistan region and Italy, as well as discussing reforms in the joints of the Ministry of Peshmerga.
The Italian military delegation renewed the commitment of his country and the international coalition to support the Peshmerga forces, especially in the field of training.
