Kuwait gov’t to “consider” lawmakers’ suggestions on work plan – minister

Suggestions pitched by Kuwaiti lawmakers over the government's newly-announced work plan will be taken into "consideration," Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Essa Al-Kanderi said on Tuesday.

The government "welcomes" any suggestions lawmakers may have and will respond "in accordance with constitutional procedures," the minister said during a session of parliament devoted to the matter.

He echoed the words of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Sabah, in which he said that the government and parliament are bound by a "partnership" to serve the nation's best interests.

The government earlier this week unveiled a detailed work plan aiming to set national development plans in motion through a number of endeavors based on the aspirations of the Kuwaiti people.
