Makkah, The Makkah Buses of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites are distinguished by their modern and advanced technologies in order to provide safe and easy means of transportation in Makkah during the Hajj season this year.
The buses contain surveillance cameras inside and outside, a collision avoidance system, electronic screens showing the destination, and a hydraulic system to facilitate boarding for people with disabilities. They also have places for strollers and people with disabilities, Wi-Fi, and fire extinguishing systems.
The commission said that the operational plan for Makkah buses included fully operating 400 buses of various sizes across 12 routes, with a distance exceeding 580 kilometres.
