Malaysian Ambassador to Lebanon, Azri Matt Yaqoub, on Thursday paid an acquaintance visit to President of North Lebanon Merchants Association, Asaad Hariri, at the association’s headquarters in Tripoli. The meeting reportedly discussed the best means of bolstering diplomatic and economic relations between the two friendly countries. Talks also touched on the activation of Malaysia Airlines in Beirut to facilitate the transportation of the Lebanese and Malaysian communities, develop a foreign trade line between the two countries, and organize joint exhibitions that open commercial and economic horizons in the service of Lebanon’s economic sector in Lebanon. For his part, the Malaysian Ambassador expressed his willingness to place the embassy’s utmost capabilities to help develop joint relations, promising “another visit to Tripoli to lay the foundations of this desired cooperation.”
