Mali Arabic Poetry Forum celebrates Arabic language

BAMAKO: Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and within the framework of the Poetry Forums Initiative in Africa, the Republic of Mali witnessed the launch of the third edition of the Arabic Poetry Forum, which was organised by the Department of Cultural Affairs at the Department of Culture in Sharjah in cooperation with Al Bayan Literary Association, with the participation of more than 20 poets, both male and female.

The forum was held at the Palace of Culture in the capital, Bamako, in the presence of Professor Lisana Drame, Director of the French-Arab African University in Mali, and Dr. Abdulsamad Ahmed Mega, President of Al Bayan Association, in addition to university and institute professors, students, lovers and connoisseurs of Arabic poetry.

is thanks, appreciation and gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his continuous efforts in serving the Arabic language and Arabic poetry.

The closing ceremony of the forum witnessed the honouring of the participating poets, in addition to cultural figures in Arabic literature in Mali with certificates of appreciation in appreciation of their efforts to advance Arabic literature in Mali.
