Dubai: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, and in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) celebrated its 20th anniversary. The event marked the graduation of the School’s 12th Masters cohort, with 75 graduates representing 27 public and private entities.
According to Emirates News Agency, the ceremony, themed ‘Following the Steps of Mohammed bin Rashid,’ underscored two decades of excellence in public administration and policy. It was attended by senior government officials and academics, reinforcing the institution’s role in advancing the UAE’s leadership in public governance. H.H. Sheikh Mansoor highlighted MBRSG’s significance in preparing national leaders to drive the UAE’s future.
Abdulla Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of MBRSG, emphasized the School’s success in empowering youth and fostering sustainable development. He noted that graduates are equipped with the skills to lead change and align with the UAE’s future aspirations. Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of MBRSG, reiterated the School’s commitment to investing in people and empowering them, positioning the UAE as a hub for public sector excellence.
The MBRSG unveiled its new strategy, MBRSG 33, introducing initiatives like the Center for Future of Government Research and the Smart Government Education Platform. These aim to enhance government readiness in digital transformation and AI. The Global Leaders Programme and the Alumni Ambassadors Programme were also launched to promote UAE’s achievements and foster global knowledge exchange.
Further initiatives include a Scholarship and Grants Fund and MBRSG 5.0, an initiative to integrate AI across academic processes. The Dubai Behavioural Insights Lab was also showcased, serving as a research platform for policy design. Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri’s book, ‘The Path of Leadership,’ was launched, inspired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s vision.
Since its inception, MBRSG has trained over 2,200 government leaders and graduated more than 30,000 participants from various programmes. Internationally, it has shared UAE’s government administration experiences with 45 countries, qualifying over 1,100 international leaders. The School has published over 600 studies and forged strategic partnerships with over 115 entities, advancing government ecosystems through knowledge and collaboration.
MBRSG continues to focus on innovation in public administration, aligning with the We the UAE 2031 vision and paving the way for the UAE Centennial Plan 2071, reinforcing the nation’s leadership in sustainable development globally.
