Mansour Bin Zayed Inspects Floating Hospital, Reviews Emergency Medical Response Preparedness

Abu dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, inspected the Floating Hospital at Zayed Port in Abu Dhabi, examining its operational readiness and advanced medical capabilities designed to enhance the UAE's humanitarian and relief response.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Floating Hospital is a 100-bed facility classified as a Level III Trauma Hospital. It includes 10 intensive care beds and 18 beds dedicated to accident and trauma cases. The hospital boasts modern operating theatres equipped to conduct various surgical procedures, including emergency, general, orthopedic, and laparoscopic surgeries.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed also evaluated the hospital's integrated smart infrastructure. This infrastructure features advanced systems for medical gas production and distribution, a freshwater purification and production plant, a wastewater treatment plant, and a smart nurse call system. These systems ensure operational sustainability and efficient healthcare delivery, adhering to international standards.

The tour covered the emergency department, diagnostic imaging unit, laboratories, outpatient clinics, pharmacy, and inpatient wards. The hospital is equipped with the latest medical technologies, enabling comprehensive healthcare services comparable to modern land-based hospitals.

Under the guidance of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE continues to enhance its humanitarian strategy by providing aid to crisis-affected communities.
