Ras al khaimah: Marjan, the master developer of freehold properties in Ras Al Khaimah, and RAK Hospitality Holding (RAKHH), the government-owned investment and development arm in the emirate, have announced a landmark strategic merger to create a unified entity operating under Marjan.
According to Emirates News Agency, this strategic merger combines hospitality expertise with land development strategies to form a future-ready organisation. Marjan will integrate real estate development, hospitality operations, and lifestyle experiences under one umbrella. Guided by RAK Vision 2030, Marjan, one of the largest real estate developers in the UAE, will champion Ras Al Khaimah’s growth as a global lifestyle and investment hub. It aims to drive investments, boost tourism, and deliver stakeholder value as the region’s premier integrated destination and real estate platform.
Announcing the merger, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of Marjan, expressed the emirate’s commitment to progress and sustainable development. RAK Vision 2030 aims to make the emirate a regional pioneer for livability and a place where opportunities thrive. He highlighted how the merger would create high-value jobs for Emiratis, develop national capabilities, and reinforce Ras Al Khaimah’s position as a beacon of opportunity and innovation.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud further stated that Marjan would lead Ras Al Khaimah’s transformation through ambitious master plans, leveraging data, design, and technology. These plans, including Al Marjan Island, RAK Central, Marjan Beach, and the upcoming Jebel Jais masterplan, are designed to elevate residents’ quality of life, enrich travel experiences, and attract investment opportunities.
Abdulla Al Abdouli, Group CEO, commented that Marjan will position Ras Al Khaimah as a global lifestyle and investment hub. Following the launch of Marjan Beach, the emirate is advancing infrastructure on its 85-million-square-foot masterplan. Marjan Beach will feature residential units, luxury hotels, and open green spaces, promoting an authentic coastal lifestyle and distinguishing Ras Al Khaimah as an investment hub and tourism gateway.
Committed to RAK Vision 2030’s goal to welcome 3.5 million visitors annually, Marjan will expand accommodation capacity, attracting international luxury hospitality brands. Additionally, Marjan plans to develop hiking and biking trails, showcasing the emirate’s natural landscapes and promoting active tourism.
