In a crucial meeting on Wednesday, Dr. Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, Yemen’s Minister of Electricity and Energy, and Mohammed Nasser al-Bukhaiti, Governor of Dhamar, convened to tackle the pressing issues facing the electricity sector in Dhamar province.
In the meeting, the minister and the governor highlighted the urgent need for repairing electricity networks severely damaged by recent conflicts. Both officials reviewed plans to restore and expand the General Electricity Corporation’s services in the most affected areas.
They addressed the challenges that examined ongoing difficulties within the sector and explored potential solutions, including the restart of damaged power stations and maintenance of transmission lines.
-The two officials reviewed the strategies to mitigate power outages and improve the electricity system were also on the agenda.
Minister al-Bukhaiti reaffirmed the commitment to resolving sector issues and enhancing service delivery.
Meanwhile, governor al-Bukhaiti expressed support for the G
eneral Electricity Corporation’s efforts and underscored the importance of overcoming challenges to ease the burden on local residents.
