HE Minister of Labor Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri met on Tuesday with HE Director-General of the International Labor Organization (ILO) Gilbert Houngbo, during his visit to Qatar.
During the meeting, they discussed aspects of joint cooperation between the State of Qatar and the ILO, ways to support and develop them and ways to enhance the continuation of bilateral partnership in the fields of the labor sector.
Both parties emphasized the importance of sustained dialogue as a strategic approach to enrich the work environment by sharing knowledge and strengthening collaboration across various sectors, alongside mutual visits and experience sharing.
Following the meeting, HE the Minister of Labor and ILO’s Director-General were briefed on the final phase of the training program for the labor ministry’s staff in the Department of Labor Disputes on mediation in labor disputes, which is organized by the International Training Center of ILO, as part of the joint cooperation program between the two parties.
