Abu dhabi: In a significant move to foster family health and enhance quality of life, the Ministry of Family and Burjeel Holdings have entered into a strategic partnership. This initiative aligns with the UAE's strategic vision to build a cohesive and prosperous society, placing the family at the core of development and social stability.
According to Emirates News Agency, the partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Strategic Partnership, aiming to integrate efforts and roles in crafting impactful programs and initiatives. These initiatives are designed to enhance family health, promote preventive and holistic healthcare, support priority groups, and improve overall family quality of life. This collaboration resonates with the UAE's ongoing efforts to cultivate healthier families, coinciding with the Year of the Family.
The signing ceremony of this pivotal memorandum was witnessed by Sana bint Mohammed Suhail, Minister of Family, and Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Burjeel Holdings. The document was signed by Marwa Al Marzooqi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Support Services Sector - Acting, and Omran Al Khoori, Member of the Board of Directors of Burjeel Holdings.
The partnership focuses on developing and implementing impactful initiatives and programs that enhance family health and quality of life. This includes integrated healthcare programs, innovative community initiatives, preventive health awareness, and specialized programs for priority groups like senior citizens, People of Determination, mothers, and children.
The collaboration supports the Ministry's efforts in developing national policies on marriage, fertility, family growth, and sustainability, leveraging Burjeel Holdings' medical expertise. These joint efforts are expected to strengthen social responsibility and create a sustainable impact in line with the UAE's vision for healthier and more stable families.
Sana bint Mohammed Suhail highlighted that the Ministry is committed to expanding strategic collaborations with national institutions, emphasizing that family stability and quality of life are national responsibilities requiring integrated expertise and effort alignment. The agreement outlines a broad range of healthcare programs, including preventive and therapeutic healthcare packages under the 'Family Wellness' programs, healthcare services for Ministry employees and their families, and specialized programs to enhance family mental and physical wellbeing.
Moreover, the collaboration will launch innovative community initiatives targeting youth, those preparing for marriage, and families, alongside support for national programs associated with the Year of the Family. It will also include awareness campaigns and workshops on reproductive, mental, and maternal and child health, promoting positive health behaviors within families.
