Ministry of Media Concludes ‘Hajj Media Hub’ with Over 2,000 Attendees

Makkah: The Ministry of Media concluded the first edition of the “Hajj Media Hub” initiative yesterday evening. The hub took place in Makkah from the 4th to the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah 1445 AH, in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Guest Service Program.

The hub attracted more than 2,000 media professionals, journalists, and visitors, including ministers and communication and media directors from both the public and private sectors.

Over 150 local, Arab, and international media outlets utilized the media and technical services offered by the hub.

The “Transformation Window” exhibition at the forum showcased more than 15 government and private entities. It spanned 11 zones, covering an area of 6,000 square meters at the Makkah Exhibition and Events Center. The event was hosted by the Makkah Chamber.

More than 1,450 registered journalists from around the world accessed the Virtual Press Center (VPC) platform.

A total of 2,920 files were uploaded, and 1,005 news stories wer
e published on the platform.

Throughout its duration, the forum featured live and recorded broadcasts from various local and international media outlets, providing diverse coverage from the hub’s headquarters, which is equipped with dedicated spaces, live broadcast vehicles, and studios.

Over the past three days, the hub hosted the daily press conference for Hajj 1445 AH, with participation from the security spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior and official spokespersons of the ministries of Hajj and Umrah, Health, and Transport and Logistic Services.

The hub, held as part of the Ministry of Media’s “Year of Media Transformation” initiative, contributed to providing modern communication and media technologies, thus fostering innovation in local and international media coverage of the Hajj season.
