Mobily Harnesses Artificial Intelligence Apps to Serve Pilgrims

Makkah, Etihad Etisalat Company “Mobily” has announced its expansion in the use of artificial intelligence applications to enhance the quality of communication and information technology services provided to pilgrims during this year’s Hajj season (1445 AH) in Makkah, Madinah, and the Holy Sites. This expansion aims to facilitate pilgrims performing Hajj efficiently and conveniently.

By adopting artificial intelligence applications, Mobily aims to improve communication services for pilgrims, making it easier for them to connect with their families and access digital services while ensuring continuity and reliability in line with the leadership’s directives. The company continues to utilize digital twin technology to control network coverage, creating a virtual network infrastructure model to enhance the pilgrims’ experience. Additionally, Mobily has expanded its 4G and 5G network coverage to over 70% of the Holy Sites, improved the efficiency of the fiber optic network by 26%, and doubled the capacity of the
5G network in important locations in the Two Holy Mosques and Mina.

Mobily has also established an Operational Excellence Center in Makkah, utilizing the latest automation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning processes to monitor network and quality indicators. This initiative aims to ensure the provision of integrated services at the highest levels.
