Abu dhabi: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has warmly welcomed participants to the fifth edition of the Young Arab Diplomatic Leaders Programme. This initiative is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. The programme is organized in collaboration with the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, the Arab Youth Centre, and various renowned Arab and international academic and diplomatic institutions.
According to Emirates News Agency, Omar Obaid Alhesan Alshamsi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressed his pleasure at greeting a distinguished assembly of 53 emerging leaders in diplomacy and international affairs from over 15 Arab countries. He conveyed the greetings of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, emphasizing the programme's significance as a vital platform for sharing expertise and experiences. The initiative aims to fortify connections and collaboration among young diplomats, which is crucial for shaping the future of Arab diplomacy and enhancing its presence on the global stage.
The participants were provided with an insightful presentation on the Ministry's initiatives to develop smart, integrated government services. These efforts focus on meeting customer expectations and enhancing the efficiency and quality of services provided. Additionally, attendees were introduced to the groundbreaking 'Smart Mission' project, the first of its kind worldwide. This project offers a fully integrated digital experience for consular services.
The visit included a tour of the Smart Mission prototype, showcasing cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence solutions, 3D displays, holograms, and a multilingual virtual employee. These technologies enable direct access to consular services without human intervention, demonstrating the Ministry's commitment to innovation.
The Young Arab Diplomatic Leaders Programme stands as one of the Arab world's premier diplomatic training initiatives. It offers young Arabs the chance to learn about crisis diplomacy from leading Arab and international diplomatic institutions, while also honing their critical thinking skills in the field of diplomacy.
