Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, attended the graduation ceremony of 377 participants from 45 countries who took part in 17 international government leadership programmes. Organised by the UAE Government, these programmes underscore the nation's dedication to bolstering global partnerships through the UAE Government Knowledge Exchange Programme.
According to Emirates News Agency, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid highlighted the UAE's commitment, under the guidance of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to the importance of sharing knowledge and fostering international cooperation to empower future governments. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of life for people worldwide. His Highness emphasised that this vision aligns with the mission of the World Governments Summit, which is dedicated to improving government performance, driving societal prosperity, and crafting a better future for the coming generations.
His Highness stated that the UAE's strategic vision focuses on building cooperative bridges and establishing global partnerships to fulfill humanity's aspirations for a better future. By facilitating platforms for meaningful dialogue and knowledge exchange, the UAE aims to modernise government operations and equip a new generation of leaders with the necessary tools to navigate the future. He added that the ongoing achievements in government knowledge exchange, initiated through the World Governments Summit, are a source of pride for the UAE and its partners. These accomplishments are a testament to productive international cooperation, as reflected in the graduation of distinguished government leaders from 45 countries capable of positively impacting their communities.
The graduation ceremony was also attended by Mohammed Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the World Governments Summit. The event took place during the World Governments Summit 2026, marking the graduation of participants from various global leadership programmes. These included the Global Government Leadership Programme and several Executive Leadership Programmes from countries such as Nigeria, Indonesia, Lebanon, Brazil, and Montenegro. Additional programmes focused on specific sectors like health, energy, education, tourism, finance, artificial intelligence, security, safety, crisis management, advanced technology, and cybersecurity, in collaboration with various UAE ministries and institutions.
