Abu dhabi: The Muslim Council of Elders emphasized that the International Day for Tolerance serves as a crucial opportunity to reinforce the values of tolerance, mutual respect, and constructive dialogue. These values are viewed as fundamental pillars necessary for achieving peace, stability, and harmonious human coexistence.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Muslim Council of Elders, in their statement for the International Day for Tolerance held on November 16 annually, highlighted the pressing challenges confronting humanity. These challenges include the rise of hate speech, expanding violence, conflicts, and wars, all of which highlight the need for collaborative efforts to foster a culture of understanding and coexistence among diverse peoples and cultures.

The Muslim Council of Elders further noted that tolerance transcends being a mere moral value. It is a practical practice that plays a significant role in building more cohesive societies and safeguarding individuals from the perils of division and conflict.
