Dubai:The Quantum Innovation Summit 2026 has announced the National Experts Programme - Artificial Intelligence Track (NEP-AI) as an Official Knowledge Partner for its third edition, scheduled from 28th to 30th September in Dubai.
According to Emirates News Agency, the NEP-AI was launched in 2019 as a track of the National Experts Programme, aimed at fostering Emirati experts who are pivotal in transforming key sectors in line with the UAE's national priorities. The partnership with the Summit introduces a crucial national capability aspect, emphasizing the UAE's dedication to nurturing experts across essential future sectors.
Ahmed Taleb Al Shamsi, Director of the National Experts Programme, stated that the collaboration underscores the significance of merging Emirati AI expertise with global insights and discussions on quantum technologies. This partnership aims to link Emirati expertise with international tech ecosystems, reinforcing the UAE's leadership in technological innovation.
The partnership facilitates the convergence of UAE's AI experts with international leaders in quantum and emerging technologies, promoting knowledge exchange on the technological readiness of the UAE's priority sectors. NEP-AI experts specialize in AI infrastructure, data governance, cybersecurity, and various applied AI fields, participating in leadership forums and knowledge sessions to advance national priorities.
As part of the initiative, the Summit will feature a dedicated NEP-AI Quantum Discovery Session, focusing on quantum readiness and the implications for critical infrastructure. This session is designed to equip national AI leaders with strategic insights into quantum technologies.
The Summit will also host a session titled 'Building National AI Capability: The UAE Model for Developing AI Leaders Across Strategic Sectors,' highlighting the UAE's strategy in developing technical and leadership skills. This collaboration further enhances the NEP-AI's role in empowering Emirati talent to leverage artificial intelligence in vital sectors, supporting the UAE's national goals.
