National Human Rights Institution organises 4th ‘Knowledge Lab’

ABU DHABI: The National Human Rights Institution (NHRI) has organised the fourth “Knowledge Lab” under the title “General Observations Issued by the Subcommittee on Accreditation”.

The event, held at the NHRI’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, was attended by Maqsoud Kruse, Chairperson of the NHRI, and Dr. Saeed Al Ghfeli, Secretary-General.

The “Knowledge Lab” initiative, launched by the NHRI General Secretariat, aims to raise awareness of human rights and addresses various human rights topics targeting different segments of society, including the public and private sectors, civil society organisations, and university and school students.

The session was moderated by Abdulaziz Al Obathani, Head of International and Regional Organisations. He introduced the participants to the Subcommittee on Accreditation, explaining the significance of its observations for national human rights institutions in general, and the NRHI in particular.

He also emphasised the Subcommittee’s role in promoting human rights awareness a
nd culture across various areas.
