Abu dhabi: Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office (NMO) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Media Council, welcomed a delegation from the Ministry of Information of Kuwait. The delegation was led by Lafi Al-Subaie, Assistant Under-Secretary for Press, Publishing, and Publications.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting took place at the National Media Office headquarters in Abu Dhabi and included Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Kaabi, Director-General of the NMO. The discussions aimed to enhance media cooperation and bilateral coordination in various media fields. Key challenges facing the sector amid rapid digital transformation were also examined.
The meeting also focused on preparations for the upcoming BRIDGE Summit, a strategic event for idea exchange and media foresight. Al Hamed emphasized the significance of Gulf media integration and coordination, which he believes can contribute to a more impactful and inclusive media landscape that upholds humanitarian values, respects diversity, and serves communities responsibly.
The Kuwaiti delegation was informed about the advanced media monitoring and analysis systems of the National Media Office. These systems incorporate advanced mechanisms for tracking media content across platforms, analyzing trends, and measuring communication messages’ impact.
Additionally, the delegation was introduced to key artificial intelligence applications used in supporting media decision-making. These applications aim to enhance operational efficiency and keep pace with the sector’s rapid technological developments.
