New Agreements and Partnerships Announced by Sharjah Broadcasting Authority at MIPCOM 2025

Cannes: The Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA) is actively participating in MIPCOM 2025, held in Cannes, France, until October 16th, with a focus on strengthening its global presence and keeping pace with the latest developments in the media industry.

According to Emirates News Agency, the event gathers over 10,500 leaders from broadcasting and television platforms worldwide. SBA’s participation highlights new collaborations across multiple global television platforms. The authority’s pavilion has been a hub of activity, hosting a series of meetings with content production and distribution companies, resulting in several new agreements.

Among the notable agreements, SBA has secured the purchase of the drama series “Desert Foxes” from Jordanian producer Issam Hajawi for broadcast on Al Wousta Channel during the upcoming Ramadan. Additionally, an agreement was made with a Belgian company for the rights to stream “The Smurfs” on SBA’s Maraya digital platform. A deal with Lebanon’s Falcon Films for screening content is also in place.

Furthermore, SBA engaged with organizations specializing in cultural and documentary production, selecting content that blends culture, information, and entertainment to meet audience expectations.
