Nouakchott Celebrates Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Competition for Memorization of Holy Quran and Sunnah

The Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott, has celebrated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Competition for the Memorization of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah.

The competition is organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in cooperation with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Original Education in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

The streets of the capital were decorated with welcome banners for the participants in the competition, which is being held for the first time, and signs providing details about the competition’s duration and venue.

The first edition of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Competition for the Memorization of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah features 136 participants from 16 West African countries. The total prize pool is SAR 1,218,000.

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has provided an integrated system of digital services, managed through dedicated committees, to ensure the competition’s success.
