Abu Dhabi: The Office of Development Affairs, the Presidential Court, is set to organize six discussion sessions at the upcoming World Government Summit (WGS) 2025, which will commence on Tuesday, February 11. These sessions will address a series of significant topics.
According to Emirates News Agency, the sessions will focus on Philanthropy in the Global South, Harnessing the Power of Sports as a Catalyst for Social Change, Designing Public Policy to Shift Behaviours around the Globe, Collaborative Pathways to Sustainable Development, Redefining Philanthropy: New Models for Global Impact, and Human-centric Futures: Building Experts for the New Economy. The speakers for these sessions will hail from different parts of the world, with three sessions being general and the other three specialized round tables.
The discussions aim to highlight key issues such as international cooperation for sustainable development goals, innovative models of philanthropy, and fostering expertise for a human-centric future. Additionally, the sessions will explore the enhancement of philanthropic initiatives in the Global South, considering the challenges faced by developing nations. The role of public policies in altering behaviors will also be a topic of deliberation.
