It also warned against the continuous incursions into the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Haram Al-Sharif, especially by the Israeli National Security Minister, which represents a provocative step condemned in the strongest terms and represents a blatant and unacceptable violation of international law and the existing historical and legal status in Jerusalem and its holy sites, and a dangerous escalation that requires the international community to act immediately to stop it through effective steps that would compel Israel to stop its attacks on the Palestinian people and its violations of international and humanitarian law, and not to take any provocative steps in Jerusalem that would violate the feelings of two billion Muslims around the world and threaten the international protection of the Palestinian people.
It underscored the importance of continuing the efforts undertaken by the joint Arab-Islamic ministerial team, headed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the international arena to stop the Israeli aggressi
on against the Palestinian people and follow up on the implementation of the legal opinion of the International Court of Justice on the illegality of the Israeli occupation, mobilize more recognition of the State of Palestine and its full membership in the United Nations, hold an international peace conference and implement the two-state solution to end the Israeli occupation and lead to the independence of the State of Palestine on June 4, 1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
The communique underlined that the Secretary-General was tasked with following up on the implementation of the statement and submitting a report to the next session of the Council of Foreign Ministers.
