OIC Submits Statements to ICJ Regarding Legal Consequences of Israel’s Practices in Palestine

General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) submitted written statements to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) regarding the legal consequences arising from Israel’s policies and practices in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem.

OIC said in a statement on Thursday, that the policies and practices conducted by the Israeli entity in the occupied Palestinian territories reflect a flagrant violations of human rights guaranteed by the international law.

The Israeli colonial occupation of the Palestinian land is illegal, violates international law and resolutions of the United Nations and must stop immediately, QIC stressed in the statement.

OIC also reaffirmed its absolute and unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to self-determination, refugees’ return, and the establishment of an independent and fully sovereign State of Palestine based on June 4, 1967 borders, with Jerusalem as its capital.
