Over 500,000 Pilgrims Benefit from Health Preventive Awareness in Makkah Health Cluster

Makkah, The Sub-Committee for Preventive Awareness at the Executive Department of Public Health at Makkah Health Cluster redoubled its efforts during the Hajj season 1445 AH.

The committee’s objectives included distributing educational leaflets and providing awareness lectures. The initiative encompassed 56 medical mission headquarters and 278 residential headquarters for pilgrims, accommodating over 50 nationalities and 500,000 pilgrims.

The cluster verified that the highest number of beneficiaries were Indonesian, with 141,990 pilgrims, followed by 127,380 Turkish pilgrims and 75,981 Iranian pilgrims.

Awareness and education efforts began at the Haramain High-Speed Railway station at the beginning of Dhu al-Hijjah, where the number of beneficiaries reached 32,855 pilgrims.

It further stated that the committee’s officials gathered the results of a questionnaire distributed to 1,003 pilgrims at the conclusion of their tour. The questionnaire aimed to assess the level of health awareness and knowledge of p
reventive health guidelines among pilgrims.
